Christopher "MonteCristo" Mykles is a League of Legends caster for OnGameNet, the co-owner of ggChronicle and Renegades and a previous coach for Counter Logic Gaming.

MonteCristo started in the eSports scene as a volunteer writer for WCReplays, a Warcraft 3 replays site.[1] He began shoutcasting for WCReplays with Phreak and attests that casting came naturally due to his many years of stage performance.[2] During his involvement with the Warcraft 3 scene, Mykles managed a professional Warcraft 3 team with Verge Gaming and joined the Team Sportscast Network, a now defunct eSports shoutcasting organization.[3][4]

Mykles attended Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland for a year before returning to the United States to attend and graduate from Vassar College, where he studied literature. In the year after college, Mykles underwent a Guatemalan-Mayan adulthood initiation rite. While later working at a law firm in New York City, Mykles became "obsessed" with League of Legends in its beta phase and subsequently founded ggChronicle to provide a journalism outlet devoted to professionalism for the LoL eSports scene.[5]

Through contacts made in the eSports scene, MonteCristo was offered and took a full-time, contract casting position at OnGameNet, where he still casts presently.[6]

On July 24th, 2013, CLG staff confirmed rumors that MonteCristo has begun working for CLG as a coach.[7] He coached the team until September 9th, 2014.[8]

MonteCristo became a co-owner of Renegades on June 19th, 2015. [9]
