"Trick" (Real Name: Kim Gang-yun (김강윤)) is a Korean League of Legends player, currently the Jungler for Galakticos.

Biography

2015

Kim "Trick" Gang-yun joined CJ Entus as a jungle substitute in December of 2014. He played his first game in July of 2015 against SBENU Sonicboom during SBENU Champions Summer 2015. He is currently a substitute for Ambition. CJ Entus placed third in the regular season but lost 3-0 to the KOO Tigers in the second round of playoffs. CJ had enough circuit points to qualify for the 2015 Season Korea Regional Finals but they lost 3-2 to the Jin Air Green Wings. Trick did not play in playoffs or the regionals. Trick left the team in November.

2016

Trick as picked up by G2 Esports near the end of 2015. The team entered the EU LCS with high hopes. Finishing the regular season of the 2016 EULCS Spring Split in 1st place with a very impressive 15-3 record, G2 was one of the favorites in the playoffs. In the 2016 EULCS Spring Playoffs, G2 would defeat the former kings of Europe Fnatic (3-1) and then they would take down EU powerhouse Origen (3-1) to win their first EU LCS title in their first split. This would also qualify them for the 2016 Mid-Season Invitational. Trick would also be placed in the All-Pro Team and win the MVP of the Split award.

At MSI, G2 Esports were one of the favorites but internal issues caused them to massively underperform. Finishing 5th with a 2-8 record, G2 lost Europe's Pool 1 Seed at the 2016 World Championship.

G2 revamped their roster for the 2016 EULCS Summer Split, adding superstar bottom lane Zven and Mithy, as well as adding Expect in the Top Lane after Kikis' departure. In the regular season, G2 went undefeated finishing in 1st place with 10 wins and 8 draws. Entering the 2016 EULCS Summer Playoffs as heavy favorites, G2 defeated Unicorns of Love (3-1) in the Semifinals and then the massively improved Splyce squad (3-1) in the Finals to win their second EU LCS title in a row. This would also qualify them for the 2016 World Championship as Europe's #1 seed. Trick was once again placed in the All-Pro Team and won his second MVP of the Split award in a row.

G2 was then drawn in Group A along with LCK champions ROX Tigers, NA's second seed Counter Logic Gaming and IWCQ winner Albus NoX Luna.
