"Ssumday" (Real Name: Kim Chan-ho (김찬호)) is a Korean League of Legends player, current Top Laner for 100 Thieves.

Ssumday was born on July 3, 1996 in South Korea. He currently lives in Los Angeles. Known as a very mechanically gifted and aggressive player, he made a name for himself while part of the KT Rolster organization. His most notable victory was when he was part of KT Rolster Arrows, taking down Samsung Galaxy Blue 3-2 in the 2014 HOT6iX Champions Summer event. Following this win however, KT wasn't able to replicate the same domestic success. They did however qualify for Worlds in 2015 but lost to KOO Tigers in the Quarterfinals.

At the end of 2016 Ssumday joined Team Dignitas and relocated to North America. Despite being a strong laner for the team, they weren't able to achieve good results. He would then join 100 Thieves near the end of 2017, after the NA LCS was franchised. With Ssumday as a consistent point of power for the team, they were able to reach the Spring Split finals but lost to Team Liquid.

Career History

In 2015 LCK Spring, the team finished 5th in the round robin stage with a 6-8 standing, failing to qualify for the playoffs. In 2015 Summer, Ssumday and KT Rolster finished 2nd in the round robin stage (13-5), however, they failed to beat SK Telecom T1 in the finals (0-3). With the points they have earned from Spring and Summer splits, the team qualified for the Regional Qualifiers. Fortunately, they were able to beat Jin Air Green Wings (3-1) and got the 3rd seed for the Korean region for the 2015 World Championship.

At Worlds, Ssumday had to face Origen's sOAZ, LGD Gaming's Acorn and Team SoloMid's Dyrus in the group stage. They were able to make it out with a standing of 5-1, only dropping a game against Origen. However, in the quarterfinals, they were seeded against Korea's 2nd seed KOO Tigers, where they lost 1-3, ending their Worlds' run at 5-8th spot.

Following Worlds was the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup. As they finished 2nd in Summer, they were seeded to the quarterfinals and winning over CTU Pathos (2-1). However, they lost to CJ Entus in the semifinals.

Ssumday and KT Rolster finished the 2016 LCK Spring Split as 2nd placers with a 13-5 standing but finished 3rd in the playoffs after losing to SK Telecom T1 (0-3). They also had a good run in the Summer Split as they finished 3rd with a 13-5 win-lose record. In the playoffs, they were able to beat SK Telecom T1 (3-2) but lost to ROX Tigers (2-3) in the Finals. This was followed by non-qualification for Worlds after losing to Samsung Galaxy (2-3) and finishing 5-8th at the 2016 LoL KeSPA Cup.

On November 28th, Ssumday and Fly were released following the expiration of their contract with the organization. However, it didn't take long for Ssumday to find a new home. On December 15th, Team Dignitas announced that they have signed Ssumday and Longzhu Gaming's former Jungler Chaser as part of their roster for the 2017 Season.
