"RooKie" (Real Name: Song Eui-jin (송의진)) is a Korean League of Legends player, current Mid Laner for Invictus Gaming.

Biography

2014

RooKie was part of KT Rolster Arrows as a mid laner, originally with the name Most 3. The new KTA team first played in HOT6iX Champions Spring, where they managed to upset SKT T1 K in the group stage and pushed their way to the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, RooKie and team lost to CJ Entus Blaze (3-1). However, HOT6iX Champions Summer was considered as their team's breakthrough season. They upset Samsung Blue (3-2) during the finals and took home the OGN Championship. They also qualified for the Regional Finals but they lost to NaJin White Shield (3-0) in the second round. In October, RooKie and teammate KaKAO left KTA to join Invictus Gaming.

2015

RooKie's first tournament in China was Demacia Cup Spring Season. The team managed to reach the finals but unfortunately lost to EDward Gaming (3-0). Invictus Gaming finished fifth in the regular season of LPL Spring but ended at third in the playoffs after losing to EDG (3-0) in the semifinals but winning overSnake eSports (3-1) in their match for third place. In Demacia Cup Summer Season, Invictus Gaming finished at fourth place by reaching the semifinals but losing to EDG (3-1) and Snake (3-2). In LPL Summer, IG managed to finish 3rd in the regular season and ended in 3rd place for the playoffs after losing Qiao Gu Reapers (3-2) but beating EDG (3-1).

The team qualified for the IG qualified for the Regional Finals and finished second after beating Qiao Gu (3-0) to take China's final seed for the World Championship. Grouped alongside Cloud9, Fnatic, and AHQ e-Sports Club, IG failed to make it out as they ended with a 2-4 and finished last in their group.
