Gen.G is a League of Legends team based in Korea, formerly known as KSV Esports.

History

Gen.G was formed in May 2018, with the rebranding of KSV eSports (former Samsung Galaxy).

2018

Following a decent first split in the LCK, Gen.G qualified to the 2018 World Championship after defeating Griffin in the Korean Regional Finals, earning Korea's third spot. Seeded in a group alongside favorites Royal Never Give Up, North America's Cloud9 and Europe's Team Vitality, Gen.G delivered the worst performance of a Korean team ever to attend a World Championship, grabbing a single win against C9 to end placed last with a 1-5 record.
