FC Schalke 04 Esports is the esports division of traditional German sports club FC Schalke 04, and is currently competing in League of Legends' EU LCS.

History

In May 16th of 2016, Schalke 04 extended into Esports by acquiring the EU LCS spot of Elements. The roster of Elements (Steve, Gilius, MrRalleZ and Sprattel) was moved over to Schalke, with the exception of Eika who was replaced by Fox.

The team debuted in EU LCS Summer 2016. Unfortunately, they ended at 8th place with a standing of 3W-9T-6L. They then went through the Promotion Tournament and lost to Misfits (1-3), dropping them to the Challenger Series.

On October 28th, the team announced its Pre-Season Roster which include Steve, Rudy, Hatrixx, Nightsniper and Visdom. The players, however, were released and a new roster was announced for EUCS Spring 2017. This include SELFIE, loulex, VandeR, SmittyJ and Upset. The team also added Veteran, former Head Analyst for H2k-Gaming, as the team's Head Coach.
