Career History

2012

Cool's first team was Team Phoenix which he joined in June. Shortly after, he parted ways with the team to join OMG in August.

2013

After a 4th place finish at the NVIDIA Game Festival 2013, OMG started surging and achieved 1st place finishes at the 2013 LPL Spring Playoffs, WVW National Elite Cup and StarsWar 8. With Cool's reputation rising, OMG attended the Season 3 World Championship and got placed in Group A along with SK Telecom T1, Lemondogs, Team SoloMid and GamingGear.eu. OMG was able to dominate the group along with SKT. Both teams won every single game and only lost 1 game to each other. Despite Faker's reputation as a destructive and aggressive mid laner, Cool was able to match him in group stages. Despite an SKT vs OMG final being anticipated, OMG lost 0-2 in the Quarterfinals to their Chinese rivals Royal Club. Their early exit from Worlds didn't shake their confidence. OMG continued to be successful and achieved 1st and 2nd place finishes at several tournaments.

2014

At the start of the 2014 Season, Cool briefly retired from competitive play and was replaced with Xiyang due to health reasons. He would not return until Summer. After his return the team was able to place 3rd at Demacia Cup - Season 1 and then 2nd place in the LPL Summer Playoffs. This would qualify OMG for the 2014 World Championship. At Worlds, OMG was drawn in the same group as Samsung Galaxy Blue, Fnatic and LMQ. Because of their inconsistent play, the team won 3 games and suffered 3 losses but managed to finish 2nd in the group. In the Quarterfinals they faced off against NaJin White Shield and despite not being projected to win, OMG was able to upset NaJin and sweeped them 3-0. In the Semifinals, OMG faced off against their Chinese rivals Star Horn Royal Club. In a really close series, OMG lost 2-3 and finished the tournament in 3rd-4th place.

2015

After acquiring Uzi in one of the biggest transfers ever, the team was unable to work together due to having too many star players in all roles. Cool in particular was rumored to not get along with Uzi too well. Despite a solid 3rd place finish in the regular season of the Spring Split, LGD Gaming defeated OMG 3-0 in the Quarterfinals. In the Summer Split, after a 7th place finish in the regular season, OMG was able to defeat Master3 in the first round of playoffs but got knocked out by Vici Gaming after losing to them 1-3. Following a rough season, Gogoing, LoveLing and Cloud retired while Uzi left the team. This left OMG with the task of building OMG around Cool.</div>

2016

Wanting to keep their tradition of being an all Chinese team, OMG didn't bring in any Korean imports in 2016. Cool would also go on to share play time with icon. Despite good performances in 2016 LPL Spring Split Group B, OMG finished 5th in the group and had to play in the Summer Promotion tournament. They were able to easily re-qualify for the LPL after defeating Energy Pacemaker. All in a 3-0 sweep. Summer was a similar story for OMG as they once against finished at the bottom of their group and re-qualified for the LPL after defeating Saint Gaming 3-0 and Young Miracles 3-2 in the 2017 Spring Promotion Tournament. Cool left OMG in December and joined Newbee as their new mid laner.
