Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes is the AD carry for Counter Logic Gaming.

Biography

Trevor "Stixxay" Hayes joined Denial eSports in August 2014 as their starting AD carry. He played with them in the Second Summer Series and the Summer Playoffs and later left the team.

2015 Season

Stixxay joined Cloud9's new Challenger roster Cloud9 G2A as their starting support player along with teammates Solo, Yusui, Hard, and LOD in January 2015. However, soon after he left the team to join CLG.Black, switching back to AD carry. In the 2015 NACS Spring Qualifier, the team defeated Rock Bottom Gorillas and then Team Liquid Academy to qualify for the Spring Season. However, they placed 6th and last in the season, after losing a tiebreaker game to TSM Darkness.

He was listed as a member of the main CLG team for the Summer Split; however, after CLG Black's victory against Maelstrom in the NACS Summer Qualifier he was banned for two weeks (weeks 2 and 3 of the split) because of toxicity.[1] Using substitute player Frost, CLG Black lost to Cloud9 Tempest and then to Magnetic, missing out on the summer season.

Stixxay was CLG's AD carry for IEM San Jose, since Doublelift had left the team a few weeks prior.[2] CLG won against Unicorns of Love and Jin Air Green Wings, but losing in the final against Origen, finishing in 2nd place.

2016 Season

In October 2015, Doublelift left CLG, and Stixxay substituted for him at IEM San Jose in November. The team defeated Unicorns of Love and Jin Air before losing to Origen in the finals. On January 6th, 2016, Stixxay was officially announced as CLG's AD carry for the 2016 season.[3]

Their performance at IEM San Jose earned CLG a seed into IEM Katowice, which they attended after the seventh week of the LCS. However, despite being in a strong position domestically, in second place behind only the almost-undefeated Immortals (to whom CLG had handed their only loss of the season the week before), CLG were eliminated immediately from Katowice, losing first to SK Telecom T1 and then to Fnatic.

CLG entered the LCS playoffs in second place, still behind Immortals, and still the only team to have beaten Immortals in the regular season. They won their semifinal series against Team Liquid in five games, winning the last game with a double teleport play to catch out Piglet and close out a win. Stixxay's Tristana was banned in three of the five games due to his having practiced a Guinsoo's Rageblade build on the champion leading up to the series. He played it in game 4 and lost with it, and it remained uncontested in game 5. Despite seeding expectations, CLG's finals match was against TSM, who had 3-0'd Immortals the week before, and not against Immortals themselves. This series also went to five games, and CLG once again won, qualifying for the Mid-Season Invitational. In the fifth game, Stixxay picked Tristana for the first time since the Team Liquid game 4, and this time it was successful - early coordination from the team got him ahead, and he reset multiple times in the game-winning fight. As a result of his play, he was granted the MVP title for the series, a result that heavily divided the community, with some people thinking he deserved it for his part in CLG's team play and some calling him the weak link of the team and suggesting the title was only given to him to further the Stixxay vs Doublelift storyline.[4][5][6]
