The Riot 2016 Season Championship Series is the fourth season of Europe's fully professional League of Legends league. In the playoffs, six teams compete in a single-elimination bracket for prize money and Championship Points. The winner automatically qualifies for the 2016 Season World Championship as the top seed from Europe.


  • Single elimination with a 3rd place match.
  • 1st and 2nd place of the Summer Season get a bye into the semifinals.
  • 3rd through 6th place of the Summer Season play in the quarterfinals.
  • Teams are reseeded after quarterfinals so the first-place team always plays the lowest-ranked advancing quarterfinal team.
  • All matches are best of five
  • Patch Information: v6.15 with  Aurelion Sol disabled for the 3rd place match and final.
  • 2016 Summer EU LCS Ruleset
  • Winner qualifies for the 2016 Season World Championship
